Second Brixton Hill councillors’ surgery each month

Brixton Hill Labour councillors are introducing a second surgery each month to make arrangements more flexible for Brixton Hill residents and business owners to raise issues with us.

The new surgery takes place on the third Thursday of each month except August, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm at Blenheim Gardens Community Hub, 23 Prague Place, Blenheim Gardens Estate. The first surgery will be 6.30pm on 21 June.

This is in addition to the current surgery on the first Saturday of each month (except August), 10am – 11am at the Roupell Park Community Centre by Hyperion House, Upper Tulse Hill.

New arrangements for Chuka’s surgeries

Following a review of the security and safety of Chuka Umunna MP’s advice surgeries over the summer, these are now back up and running with some minor alterations.

New surgery details for Brixton Hill

Brixton Hill group shotGiven the imminent closure of Lambeth Town Hall for refurbishment, councillors’ surgeries can no longer take place there. From September, Brixton Hill councillors will hold their surgeries on the first Saturday of each month except August at Roupell Park Community Centre, Hyperion House, Upper Tulse Hill, between 10 and 11am.

We are hoping to hold a second surgery each month at a different location in the ward, likely to be on a weekday evening for those who find weekends difficult.

In addition Cllr Martin Tiedemann holds a monthly Spanish language surgery for the Latin American community at IRMO, Unit 8, Warwick House, Overton Road, London, SW9 7JP

Councillors in other parts of Brixton hold their own surgeries elsewhere – details of all Lambeth councillors here.
