As Lambeth councillors we can help with any problems you encounter with Lambeth Council:
Lambeth has responsibility for these local services:
Social services (adults and children)
Education and youth services
Planning applications and development
Leisure, recreation and the arts
Environmental health and noise control
Highways and transport
Waste collection and recycling
Council tax collection, housing benefit and council tax benefit
If you need help with these problems then contact your councillor or come to an advice surgery. Your councillors may also be able to help with you with more general matters.
For other problems, including immigration and asylum, problems with tax credits, and matters of national government policy, you may wish to contact the Member of Parliament, Chuka Umunna.
Chuka holds regular advice surgeries at a number of venues across the constituency – bookings are by prior appointment only. You can arrange an appointment by calling 020 8769 5063 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10am and 1pm.
You may find it easier to attend one of the drop-in surgeries run by Chuka’s Caseworker. You don’t need to make an appointment for these but please make sure you bring all necessary paperwork with you. These are held on Wednesdays between 10.30am and 1pm at Chuka’s constituency office at 3a Mount Ephraim Road, Streatham, SW16 1NQ.
Chuka’s office also run telephone surgeries (020 8769 5063) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10am and 1pm and you will be able to talk to a Caseworker during these hours. If you call outside these hours you can leave a message on the answer phone and you will be called back during the next surgery.
Chuka can be contacted via email at chuka.umunna.mp@ parliament.uk and his website is www.chuka.org.uk.
The Brixton Hill councillors work closely with Chuka, and are happy to assist wherever necessary.
