This Sunday 3rd September sees the annual street party in Sulina Road, organised by the Sulina, Morrish & Wallis Cottages RTA. This year’s theme is Disco Fever – great music, lots of dancing and plenty of GLITTER! The organisers ask you to dress colourfully, 70s style, anything with glitter… with a prize for the best outfit (human and pets).

The Street Party Band will be performing Disco-themed songs plus DJ Don, DavidJ’s Funk Band and Balham Ukelele Society. Events will include the Spoon and Glitterball Race and Roll the Record, plus the Pina Colada competition – bring a jug of yours! There will be street yoga and stalls, and activities for kids including face painting and an under-5s disco.

Apart from dressing up, the organisers also invite you to bring food and drink to share – for the BBQ (meat/vegetarian), a salad, a pudding or favourite dishes from different countries; charcoal for the BBQ; or contribute 70s food – anyone for cheese and pineapple, vol au vents or Angel Delight?!
