Katakata, the cafe at 134 Brixton Hill, has applied for a licence to sell alcohol.
The application is to sell alcohol from the cafe between 12 noon and 9pm each day, 7pm on Sundays.
Residents have until 27th July to make comments. This can be done online at https://www.lambeth.gov.uk/forms/comment-on-a-licence-application-form
Transport for London have launched a major consultation on the bus lanes along Brixton Hill and St Matthew’s Road, that aims to improve bus times and reliability but will involve narrowing some of the pavements, putting loading bays onto pavements and potential changes for cyclists.
The full details are below and we urge residents to respond. We will make representations that any changes should enhance cyclists’ safety, not endanger pedestrians and tie into much-needed junction and crossing improvements.

The next Brixton Hill Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel meeting takes place on Thursday 21 July at 7pm. The venue is the Clapham Park Project at 1-4 Brixton Hill Place off Brixton Hill, SW2 1HJ.
The panel is an opportunity to discuss local concerns and to and set priorities for the local police team.
